Established in 1954, the Troubadour is London's original, and last remaining, independent live music from the coffee-house era.
Step through our hand-carved front door and enter into a music journey, where you'll also enjoy delicious British, comfort-food classics - right where Richard Harris and Oliver Reed once sat.

Our cozy restaurant is focused on British comfort-food infused with a gourmet French twist. Our food is made-to-order, fresh and prepared in-house by our dedicated chefs.

We've had the great privilege to host some of history's greatest talents and interesting minds. In our almost eight decades, the Troubadour has not changed but evolved.
Our look, our ethos and identity have always remained stedfast as patrons of the arts & curators who find and present new and up and coming talent, from every corner of the globe.
Our hallowed stage remains in the same place as it was when it was graced by music legends. Check out our upcoming performances and events to become part of our musical heritage .
In the 1960's, British Jazz began rising again in popularity, and the Troubadour was a regular gig and hangout for London's finest Jazz musicians; most notable of players being Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones, who played in 1961 - where he was "found" by Alexis Andrew Nicholas Koerner and quickly recruited to join Blues Incorporated.
Along with Mr. Watts, other greats of the British Jazz scene such as: Lionel Grigson, Michael "Spike" Wells, Mick Pyne, Dave Gelly MBE, Daryl Runswick and David "Happy" Williams found community on our stage throughout the 1960's.
Our resident Jazz drummer, Sebastiaan de Krom keeps the scene alive booking our weekly Jazz Sundays and Mondays.
